Anxiety, worrying and overthinking

The reason we overthink is that we don’t know how to stop thinking. The second reason is we think that by thinking all means or by overthinking, we could arrive at decisions. Thinking is a process of using our minds to analyze and evaluate thoughts. We do it to make decisions of small or big. Since we make decisions from waking up from bed to sleep, we make plenty of decisions, so we are accustomed to thinking. In other words, we are practicing thinking all day. So we become good at thinking. Without deciding to think, we think. It has become ourselves.

For example, you’re listening to your friend who is talking about an incident that happened in his life, and while listening too, you periodically think about the details he told instead of listening. It is the result of our habit of thinking. So it is very simple to understand that to get rid of overthinking, practice not thinking by doing activities where you don’t think. Try to sing a song, draw something you saw, water the plants in your garden, or sit on a beach and watch the waves coming and going. The more you practice, the better you become good at not thinking thereby you can reduce your overthinking.

Secondly, In my life, I have always found that the times when I don’t overthink about decisions and just go with the flow, they became the best decisions I have taken. Thinking is not bad, we can think about our past and can come to a decision making. That is helpful but overthinking doesn’t. Remember the times you have made decisions by overthinking and the results of them. Most of the decisions would be not the best. To understand this basic thing and stop overthinking and make your life easier.
